Kopi Kwest

So I was on this quest of finding the best instant coffee in town. At first I thought of coffee shop-hopping but then again the funds and fuss going around my area seem to disagree with the plan I had in mind. So this bulb lit up above my head and the quest started. 

For a long time I was hooked at K B C, I thought this one is to die for, I was wrong. While running late   for an errand, G T W C landed on my lap. It became a daily routine since then to fill in my coffee stream with GTWC. K B C then became my second option in case GTWC run out of stock. Again, it went on for a month or two. I tried different blends in between, but nothing seemed to captivate my coffee buds. But just last week, Nestle introduced the fresh blends of nescafe and as part of the MANY benefits this work endowed upon me, I was one of the lucky few who got them first running on my stream! This may sound so overrated but these stuff are TO DIE FOR!!!! Well at least, for now.

UNHAPPY

I awoke each morning with the desire to do right, to feel right, to be a good person, to be (as simple as it sounded and as impossible as it actually was)  HAPPY. But during the course of each day my heart would descend from my chest into my foot.  Sometimes I was overcome by the feeling that nothing was right, or nothing was right for me, or nothing was ever right in the first place. I was fulfilled -  alone in the magnitude of my grief, alone in my aimless guilt, alone even in my loneliness. I am not sad. I can repeat that to myself over and over. As if one day I might convince myself . Or fool myself. Or convince others. ( the only thing worse than being sad is for others to know that you are sad ). I would fall asleep with my heart at the foot of my bed, and each morning would wake with it again in the cupboard of my rib cage, having become a little heavier, a little weaker, but still pumping.

I wonder why do people have to be this lonely? What's the point of it all? Millions of people in this world, all of them yearning, looking to others to satisfy them, yet isolating themselves. Why? Was the earth put here just to nourish human loneliness?-

Or my life just had unlimited potential for happiness? 

Hey, I just want to clear my head.

Hybernation period is over.

The way sadness works is one of the strange riddles of the world. If you are stricken with a great sadness, you may feel as if you have been set aflame, not only because of the enormous pain, but also because your sadness may spread over your life, like smoke from an enormous fire. You might find it difficult to see anything but your own sadness, the way smoke can cover a landscape so that all anyone can see is black. You may find that if someone pours water all over you, you are damp and distracted, but not cured of your sadness, the way a fire department can douse a fire but never recover what has been burnt down. But a morning kicked in with great surprise and the pain that was long been there vanished in an instant.

Dahil kahit may 4 na, ikaw pa rin ang da best. At kahit 3 ka, ikaw pa rin ang number 1.

In Denial

Weather News Update

Typhoon Rage is still in the area of responsibility. A tropical cyclone such as this, normally, is a build up from low pressure. But this one is unique — it has a lot of high pressures coming from all sides.

Expect numerous thunderstorms that will produce gusty angerwinds and/or flooding tears rains in the coming days. So it would be best to take all necessary precautions as this typhoon is still gaining its strength from the continuous upsurge of high pressures.

This tropical cyclone is wreaking havoc everywhere. Hopefully, it is not powerful enough to produce tidal waves or spawning tornadoes. But if it does, everyone is expected to run for their lives. :))

If you are in the eye of the storm, please do not be deceived by the clear skies and light winds. The storm is not yet over —- for after the calm comes the torrent rains.

I love how Mcdo ads got me happy cells population boost! Remember Gina and Lolo? little Frankie singing and her mega mom? and now the two kiddos...

I love how the ad showcase both the innocent and witty side of kids these days. I love how the lines were delivered, that certain struggle for words, the almost mumbling tone of the boy, both their acting were very raw yet very real. I love how it brought me down on memory lane.. those carefree days and me, a kid who just wants fries.

Mcdo's " LOVE KO 'TO " really has the kick.

and oh, for the single ladies out there, if you want a boyfriend, go crave for fries. Nothing else. >:)

Do not burst my bubble

Alam mo yung feeling pag tino-torture ka ng sakit ng ngipin magdamag? then in the morning inom ka ng pain reliever? in less than 10 minutes ramdam mo na yung epekto ng gamot. And in that moment when the pain is gently subsiding, you feel HEAVEN. And you wanna hold onto it forever.

Much like LIFE and LOVE.

I, myself, had my fair share of "tootache". The worse if not the worst case I never imagined would happen to me. The Ms. Goody-two-shoes I am, who would envision me being dragged down in a mayhem by LOVE itself? I must have done terrible things in my past life to deserve such a "tootache". But then again, maybe not. Maybe that person, though a bit harsh and heartless, did something good in his lifetime to deserve me. >:) I'll take the latter. :))

Enough for the pause-rewind. Pain reliever had scoop me up from the turmoil and my heaven is currently at hand. Bliss defined.

I've outgrown the fairytales, moon beams and prince charming. I lost the idealism in me too. But then the jittery that birthdays gave me I say, Lord, Im a huge fan.

My Favorite Teacher

THEM : "Why did you take up Education when you don't even wanna teach?" 

ME : "Well, that was about the only decent thing when I was growing up for a girl to be.. and boy! who could resist the charm of their uniforms? . :D

Mine was not a call, just an obscure hunger that was waned and eventually evanesced by a clerical job my bored nerves clinched tight without animosity. The boredom can lead to constant flaring, btw. :))  yet still, teaching was not included in my job hunting list. :P

Looking back then, at 2 or 3pm during weekends, there at the mid part of the room in her upright most witty facade - my ate, a teacher wannabe - teaching us to read some English words. It was really her who greatly influenced me to take up the course. It was her dream, her call..  thats why after a couple of career switchings here and abroad, she finally stressed out the word " professional" in the card issued to her by the PRC.

I'm done and over with school days. Gone are the days when i skillfully write essays about How I Spent My Summer Vacation, My Pet Dog and the most paid of scrutiny and sarcasm,  My Favorite Teacher. I lied! Hahaha!

Last night.

ME : " Ate, you know who my favorite teacher is? "

ATE : ( with least attention on me ) " who? "

ME : " Ikaw. " ( sabay tawa ng napakalas )

ATE : "wee?!" ( major major tawa din )

Hindi lahat ng bagay natututunan sa school at hindi lahat ng teacher nasa school. Minsan kasama lang natin sila sa bahay. 

Glad I have one real teacher at home.

Perhaps I will never understand how such a small thing wrapped in the most atrocious wrapper (ever) brings HUGE almost overwhelming happiness to us... such colossal joy incomparable to owning complete BRATZ collections.

Perhaps, I will be forever envious (Nanay: " sorry anak, nakalimutan ko na kayo ni ate mo jan dahil kay dasdain. Nyahah! ) but more so, thankful that you are the source of our happiness now, not a smelly dog this time.

Perhaps your tatay will stop his grown up x-mas routine like hanging some grossly socks in the xmas tree, speaking aloud that "santa" would hear him " ano kaya ang ilalagay ni santa dito mamaya?" with that silly grin all over his face. If we find one this xmas, we'll have tita Arian blame for that.

Tita Karen can't wait to go home soon baby!
